Church Ministry Partnership
Heritage Christian Academy operates as a ministry partner of Redeemer Presbyterian Church. The HCA Board of Directors is under the exclusive oversight of Redeemer's session (elder board). The Head of School reports to the HCA Board of Directors. Redeemer is an evangelical and reformed church affiliated with the Presbyterian Church of America (PCA). Both HCA and Redeemer believe the Bible is God's inerrant, inspired, and authoritative Word and faith in Jesus Christ is the only way of salvation.
Board of Directors
The HCA board of directors is primarily responsible for setting policy and establishing long-term vision and strategy for the School. The Board is under the oversight of the Redeemer Presbyterian Church session (or elder board), and the Head of School reports to the Board. The HCA School Board must have between 7-11 voting members. Board meetings are attended by the Head of School and other administrators as needed, in a non-voting capacity. School bylaws require that at least one-third of the board be members of Redeemer Presbyterian Church and at least one member be from the Redeemer session.
