At Heritage Christian Academy, families partner together to support students—spiritually, academically, and personally. Volunteering at HCA is more than lending a hand; it’s about building joyful, Christ-centered experiences that strengthen our school community.
All volunteer efforts are overseen by the Development Department and organized through two key ways:
The CHARGE – School-wide opportunities such as hospitality, teacher appreciation, and community events.
Booster Clubs – Program-specific support for Athletics, Fine Arts, and STEM.
•Back-to-School Picnic •Moms Morning Mixer •New Family Dinner •Fall Festival •International Fair •Annual Gala •Community Prayer Breakfast •Dads Night Out •Teacher Appreciation Week
•Senior night recognition •Athlete Breakfasts •Food Truck nights •Event setup and teardown •Concessions and game hospitality •Celebrating student achievement
•Coaching or assistant coaching robotics teams •Carpool for off-site STEM competitions •Snack support for practices and competitions •Robotics end-of-season celebration •Celebrating student achievement with locker magnets
Those benefits have now been separated into Spirit Passes (for event access) and Corporate Partnerships (for business promotion). Booster Clubs and the CHARGE are now volunteer-only groups, focused solely on supporting the HCA community.
Individuals or families can purchase Spirit Passes for games and theater performances. Visit the Spirit Passes page under Community to learn more details and purchase your passes.
All volunteer efforts at HCA fall under The CHARGE, our campus-wide volunteer network. Booster Clubs are a subset of The CHARGE, focused on program-specific service opportunities in Athletics, Fine Arts, and STEM. Program directors lead these clubs, which support students through hands-on help at events, performances, and competitions. The CHARGE includes broader school-wide opportunities, such as hospitality, teacher appreciation, and support for major campus events, all of which are coordinated by the Development Department.
Absolutely! Many parents choose to serve in both program-specific and school-wide roles. Since all opportunities fall under The CHARGE, we use the same volunteer platform—Bloomerang—to manage sign-ups for both Booster Clubs and general campus volunteering.
Yes. All volunteers who work directly with students—whether through Booster Clubs, The CHARGE, or school events—are required to complete a background check. This helps us maintain a safe and secure environment for every student. The process is simple, confidential, and must be completed annually.
No. Booster Clubs do not handle funds, sponsorships, or make purchasing decisions. They exist solely to support student experiences through time and service, guided and overseen by the program director.
