All incoming 6th grade students should attend this important orientation. Students will walk through their class schedule, set up and practice using their locker, and get comfortable navigating the Upper School before the full student body arrives. This event helps ensure a smooth and confident start to middle school.
New HCA students in grades 6–12 are invited to arrive 30 minutes early for a quick orientation before the Back-to-School Open House. Meet your teachers, take a guided tour led by our Student Council members, and walk through your schedule to get comfortable with the campus before the year begins.
Students and families in Grades K–12 are invited to stop by either campus to drop off school supplies, meet teachers, and reconnect with friends old and new. It’s the perfect opportunity to get familiar with your classroom, greet your teachers, and start the year with a smile!

Kick off the school year with fun and friends around the fire! All 6th–12th grade students are invited to join us for a back-to-school bonfire—an evening to reconnect, welcome new classmates, and enjoy time together before the year gets rolling.
A beloved HCA tradition! On the first day of school, our youngest Chargers are joyfully welcomed with cheers and applause as they begin their very first day of kindergarten. Families are invited to celebrate this milestone moment together and help start the year with smiles and support.
HS parents of fall athletes, join us for a brief message from Athletic Director Bart Briley, followed by team-specific breakouts to cover key dates, important updates, and everything you need to know for the season ahead. Your attendance is highly desired.
Our high school students kick off the year with Ignite—a powerful day of worship, connection, and competition at Youthfront. Through team-building, games, and worship, students refocus their hearts, build community, and launch the school year united in Christ. Transportation and lunch provided.
Note: Students will leave Youthfront around 6:00 PM with a tentative return time to the school at 6:30 PM.

Spark is a high-energy kickoff event just for middle school students! Enjoy an afternoon filled with games and activities designed to build friendships and strengthen school spirit. It’s the perfect way to start the year with fun, laughter, and connection.
All HS Athletes, bring your full game-day uniform and your best smile. We'll be taking photos for fall sports. Coaches will share your team’s scheduled time. Please arrive 10 minutes early and be photo-ready.
Parents of students in grades 6–12 are invited to walk through their student’s schedule and meet each teacher along the way. This parent-only evening offers a valuable glimpse into the school day and a chance to hear classroom expectations, curriculum highlights, and ways to support your student’s success.
Parents of students in grades 8, 10, and 12 are encouraged to attend three informational meetings. Each grade will meet separately with their trip’s faculty leaders to review trip details and the chaperone registration process.
Parents of Kindergarten–5th grade students are invited to an informative, parents-only evening. Hear a brief classroom presentation from your child’s teacher about the year ahead, and connect with Room Moms to learn how you can stay involved and support your student’s learning experience.
