HCA Students Outperform National and Christian School Comparisons Across Grades 3–11
Heritage Christian Academy’s 2025–26 Student Achievement & College Readiness Report shows strong academic performance across Iowa Assessments, PSAT and ACT testing.
Heritage Christian Academy has released its 2025–26 Student Achievement & College Readiness Report, highlighting strong academic performance across multiple grade levels and nationally recognized assessments.
On the Iowa Assessments, HCA students in every tested grade from 3–11 scored above both national norms and participating ACSI Christian school comparison groups. HCA grade-level Core Composite scores ranged from the 76th to 87th national percentile.
High school students also demonstrated strong college readiness on the PSAT. Among HCA students taking the PSAT/NMSQT, 62% met both College Board college-readiness benchmarks, compared with 60% in Kansas and 38% nationally. HCA tests all students in the applicable grades, rather than a selected portion of the class.
ACT results provided another measure of college readiness. The HCA Class of 2026 earned an average ACT composite score of 25, ranking the class average among the top 20% of ACT test takers nationally. Fifty-eight percent of the class scored 25 or higher, four students scored 30 or higher, and the highest composite score was 34.
The report also includes Class of 2026 academic recognition, college-bound outcomes and additional context to help families understand the testing data.
“Across multiple grade levels and assessments, our students are demonstrating strong academic achievement and readiness for what comes next,” Head of School Dr. Ben Hummel said.
